In this project, our team installed beds and a boulder retaining wall to greatly improve the appearance of of this homeowner’s front yard and resolve some of their challenges. What was previously a grassy hillside prone to erosion during heavy rains is now a aesthetically pleasing bed providing structural integrity with majestic boulders and foliage. We filled the beds with Plum Yew (cephalotaxus), Drwaf Nandina, Holly Osmanthus, a Japanese Cedar (Yoshino Cryptomeria), various Ferns, and Vinca Minor for ground cover, and a mix of deer resistant perennials. LED outdoor lighting (Ballard Designs) was placed at key locations through the yard to highlight this beautiful foliage and its surrounding boulders.
